The Board of Directors recently reviewed our current Talega Gallery Emergency Evacuation Plan with assistance from prior Traffic and Safety Committee members and the current O&M Committee. Everyone agreed the plan should be redistributed, so a copy was included in the September newsletter (See Insert).
The Emergency Evacuation map for the Gallery is divided into four color-coordinated sections and is meant to be followed in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake, fire, flood, tsunami, nuclear accident, hazardous material release, spill or any other major catastrophe.
Please locate your residence and the appropriate emergency exit gate within each color boundary in order to familiarize yourself with the recommended emergency exit routes. Though specific direction for mass emergency evacuation is noted, it is predicated on the nature of the disaster and the survivor ability to open the emergency gates. Should failure occur to any of the emergency exit gates, direction will be given to the residents by fellow Gallery residents or public authorities.
There is no specific program for evacuation notification, Law Enforcement, Fire Service and Emergency Sirens will be the main notification for disasters.
