Transition Plan to Reopen Bocce, Putting & Pickleball

As you know the Board met last week to discuss a transition plan to open some of the outdoor amenities. For those of you that were not available to attend the Zoom meeting, we will give you a recap.

The Board reviewed the transition plan and guidelines to open the Bocce court (2), putting greens and pickleball.  The Board discussed this in length and had some edits. The final drafts were sent to the association's legal counsel for the final review.  We are anticipating having these documents back by the Board meeting on May 26th so the Board can review the final revisions and modify the current emergency rule in place to allow the use of the Bocce courts (2), putting green, and pickleball. We thank you all for your input at the Board meeting.

Re-opening Club Facility

The re-opening of the club facility is going to be a slow phased process. We now have strict guidelines set by the CDC that must be met and in place before we may reopen.  All residents have a huge part in this.  Please practice social distancing at all times.  Residents will need to make a reservation for the Bocce courts and pickleball court. Residents will be given an hour playtime to allow everyone a chance to play.  We will email blast the reservation link once the web-page has been completed. Only single play will be allowed, for example, one person on each side of the courts. You may only play doubles if you are paired with someone living in your household. There will be no spectating allowed and no guests.  There will be specific guidelines posted in each of these areas.

We will send an email blast to announce when these three amenities are ready to use.

Pool Reopen

Yesterday we received the OC Health Department plan for reopening of community pools.  As stated in the OC health department plan, reopening will depend upon the State Order Modification.  So the Board will need to meet these guidelines and ensure the guidelines can be met on a daily basis.  This will not happen until the Gallery’s phase 2. These guidelines require more manpower to keep this amenity open. The Board will need to discuss staffing and cleaning procedures. Once we open the pool it will be for exercise use only, no sunbathing or groups.

This is our new normal for a while.  Residents may get frustrated with the restrictions but please understand these guidelines are for everyone’s safety.

Snake Season

On another note, it’s snake season!  We have received reports of rattlesnakes in front yards, sidewalks and in the street.  Please stay observant when walking and gardening.  As much as staff would love to help, snake wrangling is not what we do.  Please contact animal control at (714) 935-6848.
