Landscape

Gallery Entrance & Clubhouse Rejuvenation Project

The Landscape Committee presented a proposal to the Board of Directors.  Phase 1 was approved at the August 2020 BOD meeting and Phase 2 was approved at the September 2020 BOD meeting.

Phase 2 includes the entrance center island, vehicle gate island on both sides, the clubhouse island, and the pool and spa areas We anticipate this project to begin within the next week or two.  We will send you an email blast once we are closer to the start date!

Irrigation

We want to inform residents about an issue that has been brought to our attention.  We are asking all owners to advise their personal landscapers to not tamper with the irrigation valves located in the green boxes in the parkways.  The front yard turf and planter irrigation for the street is connected
to these association controllers.  These lines no longer hold water within the line 24/7.  Water is only distributed through the irrigation lines when the irrigation controller is on.   We have had an increased number of work-orders indicating that when the irrigation is on there are a few homes where the sprinklers are popped up but no water is coming out. Artistic completed an inspection in these areas and found that the valve box in the parkways had been tampered with.  They believe someone was trying to get more water but when the valve was turned it was not turned back to the on position or in all the way causing the water pressure to remain very low and in some areas to be completely off.

Please inform your landscapers they may not touch the association irrigation valves located in the parkways. Residents, please report to the office if you observe anyone tampering with these valves.

Thank you all for your cooperation!

Vehicle Access

Vehicle Access System

O&M Chairperson, Marianne Houston provided an update at the August BOD meeting.  Convergint believes they have fixed the issues with the vehicle access system.  It was found we were sent the incorrect tags.

O&M has been testing the new tags to ensure there are no further issues before we distribute new tags to the residents.

Please read the email blasts that are sent. We are hoping to announce the next step of this project mid-October.

We appreciate the community's patience.  We are working hard to get this up and running.

Call Box

Gate Code

We announced the gate code had changed by replacing # with *.  We still have a large number of resident vendors and guests that have not been informed of the gate code change.  Please share this with your guests.

Clubhouse Reminders

Open Amenity Reminders

To preserve the health of our members and prevent the spread of COVID 19 we are following guidelines defined in Tier 2 of the States reopening plan. We are slowly reopening the Gallery amenities on a modified basis. As the situation evolves, the Association will remain flexible and adaptive to further guidance provided by County, City, and State agencies.

Use of the currently opened club amenities ( pool/spa, bocce, putting, pickleball, the fitness center, the billiards room, and multi-purpose room) is at your own risk.

The Talega Gallery Community Association does not assume responsibility for your safety from Coronavirus or COVID-19.  As a participant, you are responsible for your health and are expected to follow public health guidelines from the CDC and state and county departments of public health.

These include:

* Maintaining a proper social distance of at least 6 feet from other persons

*Frequently washing or sanitizing hands during activities.

*Wearing personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves in the common area

*Residents are responsible for using provided sanitizing spray to disinfect individual exercise equipment, mats, machines, lounge chairs, umbrellas, before and after use.

*Protective masks are strongly recommended when walking in and through common areas.

All amenity guidelines can be found on the Gallery website on the Return to Play page.

Displaying of Flags & Banners

Displaying Flags and Banners

Our Rules and Regulations mirror the TMC Rules on the subject of signs and banners and are based on Civil Code:

Civil Code §1353.6. Right to Display Signs, Posters, Flags and Banners.
[New: Civ. Code §4710]

(a) The governing documents, including the operating rules, may not prohibit posting or displaying of noncommercial signs, posters, flags, or banners on or in an owner's separate interest, except as required for the protection of public health or safety or if the posting or display would violate a local, state, or federal law.

(b) For purposes of this section, a noncommercial sign, poster, flag, or banner may be made of paper, cardboard, cloth, plastic, or fabric, and maybe posted or displayed from the yard, window, door, balcony, or outside wall of the separate interest, but may not be made of lights, roofing, siding, paving materials, flora, or balloons, or any other similar building, landscaping, or decorative component, or include the painting of architectural surfaces.

(c) An association may prohibit noncommercial signs and posters that are more than 9 square feet in size and noncommercial flags or banners that are more than 15 square feet in size.

So... political signs and banners that are attached to one's house are permitted as long as they do not exceed 15 square feet in size. We do not permit signs/garden flags to be in the areas maintained by the contracted landscape vendor.
